A former FSB Awards Winner has become the new lead and organiser of a successful monthly networking event in the Derbyshire Dales.
Debbie Porter is a Director of Gravity Digital and will now take up the reigns of ‘FSB Connect Networking Derwent Valley’ in Cromford, Derbyshire.
A keen FSB activist Debbie has supported a number of Federation campaigns including appearing on BBC News to support the fight against late payments and in 2017 her business scooped Microbusiness of the Year at the FSB Awards in the East Midlands.
The networking, which takes place every first Wednesday of the month, has been successfully running since July last year and take places in conjunction with the venue Cromford Creative.
Around 20 delegates attended the last event in February which also always features a small business speaker of interest.
She replaces FSB member Mark Chimley who has stepped down after an expansion in his cyber security business resulted in extra work.
Debbie said: “Living just down the road from Cromford I am really pleased to take up running FSBConnect Derwent Valley as the new lead for the networking.
“I am passionate about small business locally and I hope to build on the work done by Mark in making this a popular and well known event to attend every month for local and nearby businesses.
“Cromford Creative is an excellent place for small businesses to both work and network and I also look forward to working with the staff at the facility who support us every month”
